She’s backkkkkkk!
La Cucu-loving Cynthia Lee Fontaine was unveiled last night on RuPaul’s Drag Race as the 14th surprise contestant on the hit show’s second installment of season 9. Mouths dropped and eyes bugged as Ms. Fontaine made her entrance front-and-center to the main stage, leaving some newcomers gagging.
Divas worldwide have been speculating since the premiere aired last week of who this mystery addition to the S9 cast might be. Some guessed Coco Montrese might be making another bid for the crown, while others dreamed Serena ChaCha might be coming to open the library with more of her brutal-to-watch reads.
Or could it be Shangela? Jumping out of a box? Again? Halleloo-NO.
The gay gasp could be heard worldwide last night as the Austin, Texas diva RuVealed herself as the final cast member – and the only challenger with RPDR experience. A warm reception? Time will tell.
Fontaine captured the hearts of fans coast to coast during her tenure on season 8, so much so that she won the coveted viewer’s choice Miss Congeniality award in 2016.
Fans have also appreciated her candidness in sharing intimate details about her health scare, and her never-wavering positive vibes throughout the ordeal. She has been inspiring and incredibly public about her bout with Stage 1 liver cancer, and now that she is in full remission, the sky is the limit for the Puerto Rico native.
