Violet Chachki and Sarah Paulson Serve Fremont Fantasy In New Prada Film

Excuse us as we book a bungalow at El Cortez for the rest of the summer.

The Fashion House Prada sets Fall/Winter 2018 ad campaign in the Historic Fremont Street in Las Vegas, doing so with the help of American Horror Story star Sarah Paulson and RuPaul’s Drag Race 7 winner Violet Chachki.

If you’ve ever been to Fremont street you know the feeling of the drunk desire to be dancing and prancing between showgirls on neon tower at street’s-end. Especially  after having just one drink from that portable bar and its hot , heavy-handed, bartender outside Four Queens.

The street off the strip is a time capsule of old Las Vegas where dark rooms and smokey money deals still spell real sin.

The short film dubbed 365/Prada Neon Dream served the entire fantasy. Directed by Willy Vanderperre the film opens with a supermodel Amanda Murphy driving into Las Vegas at night fabulously wearing sunglasses.

Then, straight off the Moschino runway, Violet turns to Prada and leads an army of eleven dragged out Marilyns – on loan from Frank Marino perhaps- down the historic street. Cut to Sarah Paulson who plays multiple characters in the film, Starting out as Bellman greeting Murphy at the Hotel. All this mystique leads up to Violet’s burluseuqe show which we can only assume is the reasoning behind Murphy’s midnight vacation who enjoys the show, with Sarah.

All the feel of this film has us craving Old Las Vegas drenched in Prada no less. And, can we all just take a moment to talk about Sarah being the 12th Marylin lets hope there is a sequel.
