It’s happening!! Pop Icon (and gay God) Cher will officially release her hyped-up ABBA Album on September 28th.
Cher, who starred in this summer’s hit Mamma Mia 2: Here We Go Again, the musical set to all ABBA music, was clearly sparked with creative juices. SPOILER ALERT: there is a very brief movie-stealing moment with co-star Andy Garcia. Oh, and that finale..
The 72-year-old mega star is not just dabbling in a throwback tribute to the Swedish band, but completely dropping that beat, honey. Today’s news was followed by a preview of Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! and honey, it’s snatching. This is no Madonna sample or A*Teens play. This sound is full of glitter.
The album, entitled Dancing Queen, is already available for pre-order, and fans who just simply cannot wait (Chad Michaels) will automatically receive the full audio download of Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! with their pre-order.
ABBA is experiencing a resurgence, or perhaps the spark of a revolution) thanks to the sequel to Mamma Mia. The band has even been rumored to be planning a reunion tour that we hope may include Cher. And if that wasn’t enough to get your gay heart pumping, it is also rumored that their is a film in production about the legendary band. We are hoping against all hopes that is also includes Cher.
Take a listen to the Cher’s Gimmie! Gimmie! Gimmie! cover and get your life honey!
Make it a priority to pre-order.
In other Cher news, she will be a recipient of The 2018 Kennedy Center Honors airing December 26th on CBS along with Reba and the creators of Hamilton.
Cher today, tomorrow, and forever.
