Little Monsters, rejoice! We may be getting new music from Mother Monster sooner than we think! Last Tuesday, Lady Gaga took to Twitter to address pregnancy rumors, teasing new music as well.

“Rumors I’m pregnant?” said Gaga in her tweet. “Yeah, I’m pregnant with #LG6.”

Gaga, who is still hot off an Oscar win for Best Original Song for her song “Shallow” from A Star is Born, has received much media attention lately for her endeavors, including a Las Vegas residency show called Enigma, her Oscars run, and always shedding a light on contemporary political issues. She is one of the hardest working women in the industry, therefore, it is no surprise that she has new music on the way, on top of all of the other projects she has in the works.

Now, “pregnant with #LG6” can mean a lot of things. Is the album still in the works? Is it finished, but still waiting on the right time to deliver it?

Last Thursday, fans have speculated that Lady Gaga’s sixth studio album is complete after Chicago-based independent rapper Cupcakke implied that she had heard the album.

“Thanks @ladygaga for inviting me to the studio to hear lady Gaga 6 !!! [sic],” Cupcakke tweeted. “It’s amazing.”

While Cupcakke’s tweet implied that the record is complete she had heard it in full, some fans speculated that she was trolling her fanbase, who, like that of Lady Gaga, is largely comprised of LGBTQ+ people.

Some Little Monsters have also theorized that “pregnant with #LG6” could mean that the album is still in the works and will arrive nine months from now. After all, her third studio album, Born This Way arrived nine months after she revealed the album’s title at the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards, where she sang a few lines from the title track’s chorus.

One exciting LG6 theory is the fact that Lady Gaga recently followed Rihanna and Bloodpop implies that she has worked with them on new music.
