While Dallas’ grand Pride festivities may be over, residents still have many opportunities to let their rainbow flags fly high during Pride month. This weekend, Texas Latino Pride and CocoAndre Chocolatier will host a family-friendly mini-festival in Oak Cliff.
While attendees of the Oak Cliff Pride event may not be able to feast their eyes upon leather daddies, doms, subs or members of other sexual subcultures, they will be entertained by “modest” dressed drag queens and be able to sample a variety of local vendors, including Down to Earth Vegan, Casa Masa and Anne’s Disasters.
Husband-and-wife duo Armando Puentes and Cindy Pedraza-Puentes, who own CocoAndre Chocolatier, hope to create a fun, safe environment for LGBTQ+ children, parents and families.
Oak Cliff Pride will kick off Saturday, June 15 at 5:00 p.m.
