One thing is certain: we love our bio divas and their electrifying performances. They give us life. We’ve never kiki’d away from Keisha and we’ve continued to gaga at Gaga. And of course, the legendary divas in a league of their own – Mariah, Whitney, Cher (bitch) and so on will remain staples on the stage of any drag show.
Simply put, they bring us happiness and joy. And then sometimes – just sometimes – they remind us that they are human and we get an inner glimpse of their humanity.
We are confident that we are not the only ones that marveled at Demi Lovato’s soulful performance of Anyone at the 2020 Grammys back in January. In one word – riveting. So much agony and redemption all packaged into to one star-studded performance.
It was magical and we witnessed it live.
The piano cued her first note and one harmonious chord in, she cracked. But the audience cheered her on and she knocked it out of the park. We were all there for her – feeling her anxiety and her pain.
And fast forward to today, and we are all searching for “anyone” to take away this nasty bitch named Coronavirus, or “anyone” to curl up with at night. Stay well divas. As they say, it’s always the darkest before dawn.
Take a moment to watch Demi’s incredible comeback.
